Dr. Ann Williams (BSc, PhD)

I'm Dr. Ann Williams (‘The Essay Doctor’) and I have spent my entire career in and around universities. I hold a double first-class BSc Joint Honours degree in Psychology and Zoology and a PhD in Social Psychology, both from the University of Wales, Swansea.

Since 1994, I have tutored students at undergraduate level, and I spent ten years as an Associate Lecturer on the Open University's Social Psychology course. That means I know exactly what markers are looking for, because I've been one.

Over the years I've proofread hundreds of dissertations, PhD theses, journal articles, books, and book chapters for clients across the world. I've also published my own writing in peer-reviewed journals, so I understand the pressure of putting your academic work out there.

I'm based in Cardiff, but I work entirely by e-mail, so wherever you are in the world, I can help.

When I am fully booked, I can put you in touch with several carefully selected and highly experienced academic proofreaders — all native English speakers, educated to postgraduate level at British Universities, most of whom hold PhDs and have considerable university teaching experience.
